Good morning.A federal jury has convicted a Brockway business owner for stealing over five-hundred-forty-thousand dollars in pandemic relief funds. Federal prosecutors say forty-four-year-old Jason Youngdahl used C-O-V-I-D relief loans meant for his small business to purchase a personal vehicle and home. Youngdahl was convicted of wire fraud and money laundering, facing twenty to forty years in prison when sentenced early next year.In DuBois city news, former city employee Roberta Shaffer has asked a federal judge to postpone her upcoming September twenty-second sentencing. Shaffer’s attorney argues her sentence should be delayed until after former city manager John "Herm" Suplizio is sentenced in December, claiming Suplizio's final restitution amount directly impacts her case. Both previously pleaded guilty in connection with the diversion of one-point-five-million dollars in city funds.And supporters of electronic skill games gathered for a rally at the Clearfield V-F-W to urge state lawmakers to pass regulatory legislation.
