Good morning.DuBois City Council is considering a new, lower-cost plan to stabilize the Liberty Boulevard waterfall. Public Works officials estimate using city crews and stacked stone to shore up the hillside will cost between ten and fifteen thousand dollars—far below previous six-figure estimates.Also in DuBois, city leadership made it clear that municipal bonuses are a thing of the past. Responding to resident questions about past financial practices, Mayor Barry Abbott and council members confirmed zero bonuses will be authorized under the current administration.And rut season is officially underway in Elk Country.
