Good morning.In Chemung County court news, a fifty-year-old Ashland man faces twenty years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted predatory sexual assault. The Chemung County District Attorney's Office reports Warren Morrison pleaded guilty to the violent felony charge following an investigation by the Sheriff's Office into the sexual abuse of several young girls over a four-year period. As part of the plea deal, Morrison will also serve ten years of post-release supervision and be required to register as a sex offender.As summer winds down, Chemung County officials are announcing end-of-season schedule changes for local recreational facilities. The Harris Hill pool will officially close for the year at seven p.m. on Friday, August twenty-first, though season pass holders can continue using their passes at Park Station, where waterfront access and seasonal services will remain open daily through Labor Day.And the Chemung County Buildings and Grounds Department is preparing for fall.
