Good morning,Elmira College marked the twenty-fifth anniversary of September eleventh over the weekend with its annual flag ceremony. Students, staff, and community members placed nearly three thousand flags along Park Place to honor the victims—including Elmira College graduate Daryl McKinney, who was killed at the World Trade Center.In court news, a thirty-year-old Elmira man has been sentenced to eighteen years to life in prison for predatory sexual assault against a child. A Schuyler County judge handed down the sentence to Kenneth Morales following his guilty plea to repeatedly abusing two young victims over a seven-year period.And golf history comes to Tioga County this week as the Golf Heritage Society holds a free public trade show at Tioga Downs Resort and Casino on Wednesday, September sixteenth.
