Good morning,A Neshannock High School junior has claimed a major county title. Adrienne Wilt was named the 2027 Lawrence County Distinguished Young Woman at the program's sixtieth annual scholarship event held at New Castle High School. Wilt also secured the evening's talent and self-expression awards. She will advance to represent Lawrence County at the state-level competition this July right here in New Castle.Meanwhile, the Neshannock Township School Board has introduced its proposed budget for the upcoming school year. The twenty-six-point-nine-million-dollar plan currently carries a slight property tax increase to cover a projected deficit, though school officials note the numbers are not final and they will look to tighten spending before a final vote on June eleventh.And New Castle City Hall will see a busy week ahead with six separate public meetings on the schedule.
