Good morning.A former Canfield woman is facing twenty-two counts of animal cruelty after authorities found nineteen dead animals inside her former home. Sixty-one-year-old Melina Brown pleaded not guilty during her arraignment in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court after turning herself in on an outstanding warrant. Humane agents say a dog and eighteen cats died from severe neglect before the home was foreclosed on. A judge released Brown on bond with strict orders that she cannot possess any animals.In Butler County, police are investigating a head-on collision on Route Eight in Butler Township that claimed two lives and sent two others to the hospital. Authorities say twenty-seven-year-old Jennifer Johns of Kittanning and thirty-five-year-old Brandi Novosel of Butler were both killed in the crash. Novosel’s husband and young son were flown to Pittsburgh hospitals, where they remain under medical care.And a local broadcasting legend is celebrating a major milestone. The Mahoning Valley Historical Society has opened a new exhibit at the Arms Family Museum celebrating the one-hundredth anniversary of W-K-B-N.
