Good morning.A Chicora woman is facing felony charges after allegedly stealing more than twenty thousand dollars from the Butler Girls Softball Booster Club. Authorities say forty-eight-year-old Nicole Karenbauer misused her role as booster treasurer to make nearly forty unauthorized transactions, using funds for online gambling, retail purchases, and personal money transfers before checks began bouncing. Karenbauer faces theft charges and has a preliminary hearing set for later this month.In Lawrence County, a contractor from Ellwood City is facing home improvement fraud and theft by deception charges. State police say fifty-five-year-old Robert Connors accepted seventy-five thousand dollars for a home remodeling project in Harmony, cashed the checks, and then completely failed to respond or perform the work.And in Youngstown, police continue to investigate a broad-daylight homicide on the city's south side.
