Authorities report sixty-nine-year-old Roger Guminski instructed his wife to wait in the garage before firing into the house from his front porch. Troopers found seven spent shell casings and bullet holes inside, though no intruders were present. An arrest warrant has been issued.In New Castle, the city’s first female firefighter is asking a federal court to reinstate her job and impose financial sanctions against the city. Annie Papa was terminated in April following an ongoing discrimination lawsuit against city and fire leadership. Her attorney argues the firing directly violated a court order prohibiting either side from taking adverse actions while the case is pending.And Western Pennsylvania charter school families are facing big transportation changes heading into the school year.
