Township officials say the state funding will help modernize municipal regulations and prioritize infrastructure investments following the township's merger with South New Castle Borough earlier this year.Lawrence County is preparing for its sixteenth annual Veterans Stand Down set for October second at Cascade Park. The free event will provide local homeless veterans and active service members with free health screenings, haircuts, hot meals, and military surplus supplies.And Cray Youth and Family Services will host a free back-to-school hygiene giveaway on September thirteenth at The Confluence in downtown New Castle.
