Todd Joseph, the developer behind Conneaut Lake Park, has submitted plans to convert the former East End Elementary School into a fifty-five-plus complex. Joseph bought the forty-eight-thousand-square-foot building at auction last month for eighty-five-thousand dollars. The city's zoning hearing board will review the plans this Thursday.Also in Meadville, local physicians are pushing a new "food as medicine" initiative to fight chronic illness. Resident doctors from Meadville Medical Center are hosting bi-weekly cooking classes to teach patients how to prepare nutritious meals on a budget, as regional health systems explore programs to deliver medically tailored meals directly to patients.And tomorrow is primary election day in Pennsylvania. Voters will select nominees for the governorship, congressional seats, and the state legislature.
