Good morning.The Meadville City Council has voted unanimously to rename a downtown roadway in honor of iconic local educator Dr. Armendia Dixon. In a surprise ceremony ahead of her eighty-ninth birthday, city leaders designated a prominent stretch of North Street as "Armendia Way" to honor her sixty years of trailblazing service.Meanwhile, state corrections officials are launching an investigation after a Meadville man was found dead inside his cell over the weekend. Superintendent M. Hainsworth reports that thirty-six-year-old Joseph Warren was found completely unresponsive at the State Correctional Institution at Laurel Highlands on Saturday morning. Warren was serving a twelve-and-a-half-year sentence following a 2017 guilty plea for child sexual assault charges in Crawford County.And the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General has launched a formal regulatory review into the pending sale of the Rolling Fields nursing facility in Conneautville.
