Good morning.A Jamestown man is facing up to forty years in state prison after being sentenced for stabbing a local police officer. Forty-three-year-old Adam John Mitchell received a fifteen to forty-year sentence in Crawford County court following a plea deal. The charges stem from a December attack outside a Linesville laundromat, where Mitchell stabbed Conneaut Lake Regional Police Officer Landon Caldwell three times during a struggle. Twenty-three law enforcement officers filled the courtroom in a show of support as the judge imposed the maximum allowable limit.Meanwhile, the Crawford Central School Board has approved several key administrative moves ahead of the upcoming school year. High school educator Lynette Willis was appointed as the new assistant principal at Cochranton Junior-Senior High. The board also named new administrative leaders across several Meadville elementary schools and approved a new athletic director for Cochranton.And Titusville City Council officially swore in its two newest police officers, Alex Anderson and Blake Taylor. The additions bring the city's police force up to thirteen officers.
