Good morning.It’s official: Texas Roadhouse is officially heading to Crawford County. Vernon Township supervisors have formally approved land development plans for a seven-thousand-nine-hundred-square-foot restaurant located at the former Meadville Mall site on Vernon Place. Diners will have to be patient, as the opening is projected for October of 2027.Meanwhile, Vernon Township officials are working on new local regulations on two distinct fronts. Local leaders are currently drafting ordinances to govern both the location and energy demands of potential data centers, as well as new restrictions on where residents can house and contain backyard poultry in residential districts.And in Mercer County, PennDOT is inviting public feedback on a proposed major overhaul of Route 518.
