Good morning.After fifty-nine weeks and nearly six-hundred-thousand dollars, the Holland Towers public housing complex in Meadville has officially ended its round-the-clock fire watch. Auxiliary police and staff had been manually patrolling all seven floors hourly ever since a June twenty-twenty-five power outage fried the building's main audio alarm system. Following a year of electrical overhauls and a final inspection by Meadville Fire, a brand new system is fully operational.In regional healthcare news, a new report shows Pennsylvania’s rural hospitals saw operating income rise to over one-billion dollars last year. While seventeen facilities still lost money, overall operating margins improved, and no rural hospitals closed statewide between twenty-twenty-four and twenty-twenty-five.However, healthcare advocates warn those gains are a mirage.
