Good morning.A Crawford County judge has ruled that the prosecution of a former Hayfield Township man who confessed to killing his wife nearly forty-five years ago will move forward. President Judge John Spataro denied a petition to dismiss charges against seventy-seven-year-old Clinton "Bud" Rogers, ruling that circumstantial evidence supports homicide charges in the nineteen-eighty-one disappearance and death of his wife, Lonene.In another major court update out of Meadville, former long-time local pastor Timothy Solomon has been sentenced to six months in jail, followed by six months of house arrest and four years of probation, after pleading guilty to felony child pornography charges. The sixty-nine-year-old will also be required to register as a Tier One sex offender for fifteen years.And State Police in Franklin have released details on a two-truck crash along Interstate Eighty West in Venango County. Investigators say an Ohio driver reaching for a water bottle struck another semi-truck traveling well below the speed limit without hazard lights near Exit forty-two in Scrubgrass Township.
