Good morning.A Steuben County grand jury has indicted a man on second-degree murder and multiple felony charges following the brutal rape and death of a ninety-year-old woman in Corning. Prosecutor Brooks Baker says Jonathan Rivaldo—who had been released from prison just days before the assault—also faces counts of first-degree rape, burglary, and victim intimidation. Rivaldo remains held without bail at the Steuben County Jail.In Hornell, drivers face road closures and heavy traffic delays starting at seven o'clock this morning. The Department of Public Works is milling six major city streets—including Genesee, Collier, and School streets—with no street parking permitted during daytime construction through Tuesday.Meanwhile, Steuben County has accepted nearly one-point-six million dollars in state grant funding to replace twenty miles of aging guiderails.
