Good morning.A local musician is taking his message of hope to Times Square to fight the fentanyl crisis. Hornell Alstom employee and Rushford native Nickalus Linza released his new single "Backwoods for Days" to honor a friend's cousin who died of an accidental fentanyl overdose. Linza was invited to perform the song live in New York City as part of a national event hosted by the non-profit Facing Fentanyl, with the single officially dropping on all streaming platforms August twenty-first for National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day.State police are investigating a serious crash that left two Rochester residents hospitalized in the town of Wayland. Investigators report twenty-three-year-old Liz Maldonado failed to negotiate a curve on West Naples Street Sunday afternoon, crossing lanes and striking multiple trees and a home. Both Maldonado and her passenger suffered serious injuries and were transported to regional hospitals, with troopers looking into reports of reckless driving prior to the crash.And in Cattaraugus County, the American Red Cross is assisting ten people after a devastating Sunday morning fire in East Randolph. Fire crews responded around four a.m. to a mixed-use building on Main Street housing apartments and a pizza shop.
