Good morning.A high-stakes political showdown over Parkersburg’s trash collection heads to City Council tomorrow night. Despite activists successfully gathering over three-thousand signatures to force a public referendum on a controversial fifteen-million-dollar Waste Management contract, the city clerk declared the petition invalid. The ACLU of West Virginia has filed an emergency motion asking a Wood County judge to intervene.
