Good morning.Recovery efforts are underway across the Mid-Ohio Valley after two confirmed tornadoes ripped through Pleasants County. The storms flattened mobile homes, knocked out power to thousands, and tore the roof off the home of long-serving former State Senator Donna Boley. Governor Patrick Morrisey has declared a statewide State of Emergency as National Guard units and local emergency crews work to restore power and clear heavily blocked roads.In city developments, Parkersburg has officially demolished the old Fire Station Three at Thirteenth and Liberty streets. City officials tore down the Depression-era building after it sat vacant following the fire department’s move to their new Briant Street station, citing multiple recent break-ins as the reason to clear the property.And the Parkersburg-based Phoenix Twirlers have captured their second consecutive National Championship in South Bend, Indiana.
