Good morning.In state capital news, the Governor's Office provided an update on West Virginia’s TANF assistance program, revealing an estimated thirty-eight million dollar annual funding gap. Governor Patrick Morrisey says the state will request a supplemental legislative appropriation of up to fifteen million dollars to keep cash assistance, family support centers, and child care subsidies operational while officials work on long-term funding solutions.Federal disaster relief is on the way for hard-hit storm victims. Governor Morrisey announced that President Donald Trump and FEMA have approved four-and-a-half million dollars in expedited individual assistance for families in Lewis and Upshur counties following last month's catastrophic flooding and tornadoes.Here in Wood County, county commissioners have approved a ninety thousand dollar funding allocation for critical maintenance at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Airport.
