The Republican incumbent says he made the move after the Republican primary was closed to independent voters, aiming to give voters broader options on the ballot.Authorities have released details on a fatal Sunday afternoon crash on Interstate 77 near Parkersburg. According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, a Chevy Equinox traveled off the highway into the median and rolled over near mile marker 180. Fifty-seven-year-old Michael Todd Walker of Carrollton, Ohio, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was taken to Camden Clark Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.And across the river, the Belpre Police Department has sworn in its newest patrol officer.
