Good morning.A high-profile financial deal has officially resolved the ongoing legal battles surrounding West Virginia's historic Greenbrier Resort. The Justice family announced a joint venture with New York-based firm Kennedy Lewis Investment Management, giving the investor group a fifty-one percent controlling interest in the property. The agreement led to the dismissal of a federal lawsuit over more than three hundred and eighty-seven million dollars in defaulted debt, allowing the resort and its casino to continue daily operations uninterrupted.Governor Patrick Morrisey has extended the state of emergency for twelve West Virginia counties following severe mid-July flooding and tornadoes. The extension, which runs through September nineteenth, covers hard-hit areas including Doddridge, Pleasants, Ritchie, Tyler, and Wetzel counties. Local officials requested the move to ensure state and local agencies maintain full flexibility and resources to support ongoing recovery and stream debris cleanup efforts.And a wanted sexual abuse suspect is back in custody after fleeing West Virginia. The U.S. Marshals Service apprehended Johnathan Gregory Bowersock in Sedona, Arizona.
