Good morning.A thirty-seven-year-old Ohio man has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison for distributing Sinaloa Cartel methamphetamine in the Parkersburg area. Federal prosecutors say Enouch Jairus Kermue sold over two-hundred grams of meth to an informant outside a local business, sourcing large drug quantities directly from the cartel. Kermue faces deportation following his prison term.In county government news, Wood County Assessor John Kelly has eliminated two administrative positions to help plug a projected three-hundred-fifty-seven-thousand-dollar budget shortfall. Kelly informed county commissioners the job cuts will net around one-hundred-thirty-thousand dollars in savings as the office works to recover from years of past overspending.And city officials in Parkersburg are scrambling to fix the drained pond at Southwood Park. Mayor Tom Joyce reports an underground outfall pipe has failed, causing nearly all the water to leak out.
