The update comes as county officials continue auditing a three-hundred-fifty-seven-thousand-dollar shortfall in the Wood County Assessor’s valuation fund, with state auditors conducting a secondary review.In local education news, Coplin Health Systems is partnering with Wood County’s Caperton Center for Applied Technology to boost healthcare career training for area students. Formalized through the Chamber of Commerce of the Mid-Ohio Valley, the new partnership will give technical students hands-on clinical exposure, mentorship, and workforce preparation from local healthcare professionals.And across the river in Marietta, Mid-Ohio Valley veterans groups and Marietta College are finalizing plans to mark the upcoming twenty-fifth anniversary of the September eleventh terrorist attacks.
