RNN KY NEWS ROUNDUP 08/12/26          Over 60-thousand Kentuckians remain without power this morning after severe storms swept across the state yesterday.  Power-outage-dot-com shows northern and eastern Kentucky as some of the hardest-hit areas.  Over 12-thousand customers are without service in Kenton County and neighboring Campbell County has around 10-thousand outages, as well.  There are nearly 16-hundred properties without service in Robertson County this morning, representing about 97 percent of the tracked subscribers there.          The FBI is offering up to one million dollars for an Indiana fugitive with known ties to Kentucky...John Shannon has the details...               {260811FBIFugitiveHasKentuckyTiesVOICER_1}      Q...SOQ      00:30         Republican Congressman Andy Barr is highlighting a federal measure that he says will bring down housing costs for Kentuckians.  Barr, who is running for Mitch McConnell's seat in the U.S. Senate, stopped in Bowling Green yesterday to discuss the 21st Century Road to Housing Act with the Builders Association of South Central Kentucky.  He says the legislation that was passed this Congressional term will help first-time homebuyers by bringing down costs and easing restrictions on lenders.  The bill also makes it easier for companies to build and deliver modular housing, according to the congressman.           A school district in Bell County is banning energy drinks on any school campus.  Pineville Independent Schools says that not only are energy drink not healthy for kids to be drinking but they are also causing behavioral disruptions in classrooms.  The ban goes into effect on Thursday, which is the first day students return for the upcoming school year.            The London-Corbin Airport is getting more than 12-million dollars to rebuild after the May 2025 tornado.  Congressman Hal Rogers says eight-and-a-half-million is coming from the federal government and another four-million is being provided by the Kentucky General Assembly.  The money is being used to rebuild seven hangars that were destroyed in the deadly tornado and to renovate the airport's dated terminal.  An economic study provided by airport operators shows the hub contributes about two-million dollar per year to the local economy.
