Capito announced his office is taking a hardened stance on child predators and mid-level drug traffickers caught with firearms, while cautioning elderly residents to stay alert against a growing wave of phone and online financial scams.Turning to state infrastructure, engineers are assessing unexpected structural defects discovered underneath the Chester Bridge in Hancock County. The highway department paused all paving operations on the bridge—which has been shut down for over a year—while experts review options to address the underlying structural issues.In Mingo County, State Police arrested twenty-year-old Cameron Brinager of Delbarton following a domestic violence investigation.
