Rafael Lua - ”Treasures Old and New: Scripture, New Imagination, and the Church”

Wed May 7, 2025 - 2:00 PM Presenter(s): Rafael Lua In the gospel of Matthew, we explore the gospel writer’s emphasis on scriptural fidelity in addressing a primarily Jewish Christian audience, while at the same time highlighting Jesus’ sparking of new imagination in how we view and apply scripture in this new Kingdom Reality. As church leaders and members, we will explore Missional themes and postures in these two emphasis’ in Matthew, as well as practical implications for the church today - an outpost of the in-breaking Kingdom of Heaven.
