The Olympic champion who was an eyewitness to an American tragedy. Rafer Johnson won the gold medal in the decathlon at the 1960 Olympic games. He later had a very successful career as an actor. And in the 1960s, he became politically active. He was in the kitchen at the ambassador hotel that night in June, 1968 when Robert f. Kennedy was assassinated.
