Rags to Riches

Rags to riches stories usually celebrate people who overcome the odds, but Ephesians 2 describes a change no sinner could achieve. People dead in sin become alive with Christ because God is rich in mercy and love. This present victory does not mean sinless living; believers still stumble, yet sin and Satan no longer rule them as before. Salvation, including faith, is God's gift, so boasting disappears.
