Raiders Excel in Track and Academics

Two Raiders, Patrick Statzer and Sydney Thompson, earned Horizon League Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team honors for 2026, proving excellence isn’t just in the books or on the track—it’s in doing both. Statzer, a Crime and Justice Studies major, maintains a flawless academic record, landing on the Dean’s List since day one and previously honored on indoor and cross country teams. Thompson, a Nursing major, also boasts a perfect academic streak while smashing personal bests this spring in the 10K and 5K. Their achievements highlight the rare blend of athletic grit and academic discipline—no brain vs. brawn, just pure grind. Support the show:Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
