Raiders Fall in First Loss

The Wright State Raiders, top seed in the tournament, suffered their first loss Friday, falling 4-1 to Milwaukee — a setback that puts them squarely in the loser’s bracket with a must-win against Oakland on Saturday afternoon. Despite Griffen Paige’s career-high 130 pitches and 10 strikeouts, Milwaukee capitalized early and sealed the win with a dominant closer, Camden Kuhnke, who earned league reliever of the year honors. Raiders left runners on base all night, and now they’ve got one shot to keep their championship dreams alive — high stakes, high pressure, and no room for error.
