Rain by KilliKEA

It feels like it is going to rain,But the situation is getting insurmountable. Clouds hanging low, heavy like the pain, Every drop hits the window like a lost soul. War outside? No, the war is in the mind, Looking for a shelter that I just can't find. They say it’s pouring rain, but the scent is pure smoke, The hood is under pressure, reality’s a joke. Between the sirens and the thunder, the sound is the same, A kid runs to the bunker, Grandma’s calling out his name. They say "Insurmountable"? That’s just a word they say, Tell that to the people survivin' day by day. We are a generation born in fire and in flood, Eyes locked on the sky, while our feet are in the mud. (Chorus) Rain comes down, is it washing blood or tears? Can't tell the difference after all these years.War is a beast, but we are the cage,Writing our history on a burning page.Ayzon (Stay strong), let the heart remain whole, Even when the darkness falls, we are the light of the soul. The news is on a loop, mind spinning in the drain, Addis in my heart, Jerusalem in pain. This ain't no poetry, this is concrete facts, Raised from the bottom, slipping through the cracks. You hear that boom? That ain't no storm overhead, That's the sound of heavy fate, hanging by a thread. But look me in the eyes, tell me who is gonna fold? Our roots are way deeper than the stories ever told. Like David versus Goliath, with a mic in my hand, Facing the impossible – together we stand. Yeah. Insurmountable? Nothing is impossible. Just let it rain. Wash it all away. Peace.
