Rain Finally on the Way for Inland Northwest | Spokane News

Rain is finally on the way to the Inland Northwest, starting Tuesday evening and lasting through Thursday — a much-needed break from sun and smoke. The National Weather Service predicts showers across the board, with Thursday being a sure thing. Winds will pick up Tuesday, hitting 20 mph by Wednesday, especially in the West Plains. After three straight years of drought, we’re currently 3.6 inches behind seasonal rainfall — but this storm, while not ending the dry spell, brings welcome moisture and a much-needed change of pace.
