RAISED UP BY THE HAND OF MERCY

📖 Scripture “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us… hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” — Ephesians 2:4–6 Devotional Message Every believer has a testimony that begins with the mercy of God. We were not raised because we deserved it, but because God, in His abundant mercy, reached down with His mighty hand and lifted us by His grace. The hand of God's mercy does more than forgive—it restores, renews, and raises people from places of brokenness into lives of purpose. His mercy reaches where human strength cannot. It lifts the weary, restores the fallen, and gives hope to those who feel forgotten. Throughout Scripture, God's mercy transformed lives. Joseph was raised from prison to the palace. Ruth, a foreign widow, was brought into God's redemptive plan. Blind Bartimaeus cried out for mercy and received his sight. Peter, after denying Jesus, was restored and became a bold preacher of the Gospel. None of these stories were built on human merit but on God's compassionate mercy. The same hand of mercy is reaching out today. His mercy lifts you from guilt into forgiveness. His mercy raises you from despair into hope. His mercy restores what sin and failure have damaged. His mercy gives you another opportunity to walk in His purpose. His mercy reminds you that your past does not determine your future. God's mercy does not ignore our failures—it meets us in them and calls us to repentance and transformation. When we humble ourselves before Him, His hand lifts us and gives us a fresh beginning. Do not remain trapped by yesterday's mistakes. Do not believe the lie that you are beyond God's grace. Come boldly to the throne of grace. Receive His forgiveness. Walk in obedience. Trust His unfailing love. The God who raised you by His mercy will continue to sustain you by His grace and establish you in His purpose. Today, Ask Yourself Am I living each day with gratitude for God's mercy, or am I allowing my past failures to keep me from embracing the new life He has given me? Prayer Almighty Father, thank You for Your unfailing mercy that found me, forgave me, and raised me into new life through Christ. Lift me above every burden, failure, and discouragement. Help me to walk in humility, gratitude, and obedience as I live in the fullness of Your grace. Let my life reflect the power of Your mercy and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name, Amen. 🙏
