Raising Awareness about Mental Health with Daniela Raytchev

from Women United ART PODCAST · host Mona Lerch

This new episode of Women United ART PODCAST is very special to Mona as she interviews her great friend Daniela Raytchev, a is Slovakian/ Bulgarian contemporary artist currently residing in London, United Kingdom. Daniela's personal experience and observation of human psyche have been a continuous source of inspiration for her work.  Her paintings and sculpture are bold, at times ironic and feminine yet feminist. Her work depicts conflicts within, enquires about social stigmas, especially with regards to mental health and equal rights, and promotes honesty and positive message that change is possible. As of late, Daniela's work is gaining more of a political and social character. She addresses her ideologies and support for racial, gender and sexual equality as well as various environmental causes. She questions the establishment and the position of women within the society. Same as with her past mental health related works, she continues to encourage equality, acceptance and empowerment of those less fortunate or discriminated. In summer 2022, she opened Raytchev Contemporary gallery, a modern and warm venue located in West London that showcases the work of contemporary London-based artists.Listen to the ladies as they chat about Daniela's art practice and behind-the-scenes of her life as a new gallerist. This show is brought to you by Women United ART MOVEMENT, a global platform highlighting women in the arts through a wide range of opportunities such as solo and group exhibits, annual art prize for women artists, and quarterly publication.www.womenunitedartmovement.com@womenunited_art_movement@womenunited_art_magazine
