Raising Dion (Review) – So many times I would have whooped his….

I just finally finished watching Raising Dion this was the Netflix series about a woman who raises her son Dion after the death of her husband Mark. Sounds like a John Singleton flick at first if it was set in L.A. but when Dion starts to manifest several magical, superhero-like abilities we add a level of complexity that either makes or breaks this series. Netflix is creating very interesting concepts for their original shows but this one ran through the BLERD community and everyone raced to watch it and review it. I on the other hand had to wait for my wife because she couldn’t binge watch it and didn’t want me spoiling it for her so we watch one episode every so often until we finished and well, I will say I haven’t felt one way or another about this show. That doesn’t bode well in my GoingFullNerd book because if a show has extreme ups and downs as well as trying to address social commentary all in one it becomes a muddled mess. So let me hit the good, the bad, and the WTF of Raising Dion.
