RAISING INTERRACIAL CHILDREN.

from THINGS MEN DON'T TALK ABOUT W/BRAD PERRY · host CRIMINAL MINDED MEDIA

On today’s episode we talk about a subject that while not exclusively related to men, seems to be a more difficult conversation for them to have than their female counterparts. When parents talk to each other about their children typically they share when their child took their first steps or how old they were when they were potty trained.  As they get older, conversations turn to what schools are they going to, and what sports or activities are their children are engaged in. You get it, it is an ever-expanding conversation.  One topic that although is very “woke” in today’s society, is still not an average conversation — raising interracial children. This is an extra layer of stress and even sometimes served up with shame or an apology when trying to talk to our young kids about such a tough subject. I talk with writer, actor and producer Diallo Riddle — the man behind hit shows like Sherman’s Showcase and South Side — about raising interracial children.
