Welcome back to the Podcast, “The Secret Of A Successful Life Series.” The last podcast told about Harry and Clara getting married and Harry’s ordination service into the Ministry both services were held at the Cedar Grove Christian Church in Southern Iowa. Clara and Harry received a new car from Grandpa Ralph and Grandma Beulah for a wedding present. Grandpa Ralph explained to the couple about how Clara’s trust fund was making a great return in the stock market and they were set for life financially. Clara expressed how she was not comfortable with having that money invested in the stock market and asked her Grandfather to put some of the money in a jar stored in the food cave. Grandpa reluctantly did as she requested. The time was September 1929. In this episode titled, “Ralph Don’t Do It!” the time setting is late October 1929 just after the news of the Stock market crash has been heard by the nation.
