Last night, during Taraweeh, the Imam recited a powerful ayah from Surah Al-Imran (3:26): “Say, O Allah, Master of the Kingdom! You give sovereignty to whom You will and take sovereignty from whom You will; You honor whom You will and humble whom You will. In Your hand is all good. Indeed, You are over all things competent.” This ayah perfectly encapsulates the tragedy of our loss—but also our hope for the future.
