Ramaphosa at Brics Summit for Global South | Johannesburg News

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa heads to New Delhi for the 18th Brics Summit, where leaders from Brazil, China, India, Russia, and 10 other nations will rally around a bold agenda: resilience, innovation, and cooperation in a fractured world. Amid global tensions, trade wars, and shifting power dynamics, Brics aims to reshape global governance by expanding trade, deepening financial ties, and demanding greater Global South representation in institutions like the UN. Ramaphosa will also lead South African business interests at the Brics Business Forum, pushing for stronger commercial partnerships across agriculture, supply chains, and digital economies—all culminating in the adoption of the New Delhi Declaration.
