Ramaphosa files answering affidavit to Moyane court action

SAfm — President has filed an answering affidavit after former SARS Commissioner Tom Moyane’s notice that he is challenging amongst other things, his dismissal in the Constitutional Court. Moyane is also questioning the validity of the Nugent Commission set up to probe governance issues at SARS. Ramaphosa sacked Moyane based on a draft report by Judge Robert Nugent. The Presidency had defended Ramaphosa's saying the situation had become untenable. Presidential spokesperson Khusela Diko says Ramaphosa did not wait for Nugent's final report before because he did not expect to be it to be that different from the interim one. Sakina Kamwendo spoke to Moyane's lawyer, Eric Mabuza.
