Ramirez on the Mend, Hitting Still Out | Cleveland Guardians News

Jose Ramirez is healing fast after surgery for a broken hamate bone, ready to swing again later this week as stitches come out — though he admits hitting’s still off-limits. He’s feeling better than his 2019 hand injury and staying patient despite eagerness to return. Meanwhile, teammates Angel Martinez (foot) and Chase DeLauter (rib) are also rehabbing; DeLauter already played Sunday. All three are nearing the end of their 5-7 week recovery window. Despite the setbacks, the Guardians remain tied for first in the division, eager to welcome back their stars for a push toward postseason glory.
