Ramírez Returns as Guardians Surge | Cleveland Guardians News

José Ramírez is poised to return to the Guardians lineup soon, just five weeks after hand surgery—no minor league stint needed—and could be back any day, giving manager Stephen Vogt a major lineup puzzle to solve. With Steven Kwan on fire at .430+ in July and Angel Martínez nearing his return, the top of the order is suddenly loaded. Expect shifts: Bazzana possibly leading off, followed by Ramírez, DeLauter, and Rocchio. The Guardians are already stacking left-handed and switch hitters against righties—a strategy that’ll only get stronger with Ramírez back. In a tight AL Central race, this potent, deep offense could be the key to a playoff run. The second half? Absolutely electric.
