Ramírez’s Power Pause and Promise | Cleveland Guardians News

José Ramírez is back on the field after hand surgery, but his power hasn’t returned yet—zero home runs since returning July 22nd, batting just .219 with four RBIs in 16 games. His slugging percentage has plummeted from over .400 to around .16, far below his usual standards. Yet teammates see encouraging signs: he’s swinging more aggressively, hitting the ball hard—even if it’s right at fielders—and showing renewed aggression, like attacking a 3-0 pitch. A recent ground ball that drove in a run could’ve been a homer if it’d found a gap. Despite the dip in power, Ramírez is still contributing with steals and runs, and the team remains confident his big power will return. For now, they’re thrilled to have him playing and making an impact in new ways. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
