During PMC3 a production team were showing off thier teaser trailer for a 'dark and gritty' Power Rangers fanfilm, here's the link to the site: http://www.mmprfilm.com/ And this is what happened on two seperate forums in regards to some released information about it (or lack of according to RB at one point). Quick summary I may like fanfilms but I don't like this, Matty on the other hand is waiting on more info. The cover art is by a Rangerboard user named Xenotome and I think he sums up it pretty accurately.
