Ransom, Part 2: The Gift of Grace

    Our theme verse for this series: (Matthew 20:28) “…the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."The title of my message today is:  The Gift of Grace(Galatians 5:1) “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.” (Galatians 5:1) “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”(2 Corinthians 6:1) “As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain.”(Psalm 103:2-3)  “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”  (Acts 16:29-31) “The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household."(Romans 11:6) “And if by grace, then it is no longer by works; if it were, grace would no longer be grace.”(Galatians 2:21) “I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!" (Psalm 103:2-3)  “Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.”  What type of benefits come with this Gift of Grace? The Benefits of Grace 1.    Eternal Life(Romans 6:23) “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 2.    Forgiveness(Acts 13:38) “Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.”3.    Justification(Romans 3:22-24) “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”4.    Righteousness (Romans 4:3) “What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."5.    Redemption(Ephesians 1:7) “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace.”
