Ransomware Cephalus treft CoCo Yachts, Salt Typhoon infiltreert Nederlandse telecom

Het Nederlandse maritieme bedrijf CoCo Yachts is getroffen door een ransomware-aanval van de groep Cephalus, waarbij 1,8 terabyte aan gevoelige data werd gestolen. Tegelijkertijd infiltreerde de Chinese hackersgroep Salt Typhoon routers van kleinere telecomproviders in Nederland, wat de kwetsbaarheid van de sector benadrukt. Verder namen politie en FBI het frauduleuze platform VerifTools offline. Ernstige kwetsbaarheden in FreePBX en Passwordstate tonen de noodzaak van snelle beveiligingsupdates.
