We're finishing our talk this week with Mizz Taj, a Female rapper bringing her Indian culture and personality to Reggae and Punjabi-inspired instrumentals. This episode is more chill and reserved, but for the first 15 minutes, it gets intense with discussions surrounding the Saskatchewan shooting and stabbing within Indigenous communities and the passing of Queen Elizabeth. Taj opens up on her family's intergenerational trauma, which brings the episode into a different feeling that allows for vulnerability and deep reflection upon the British's actions during significant events such as The Partition of India and colonizing people from various populations. Afterward, things switch into a different gear as we engage in a round of King/Queen of the Hill (Music Edition). It was my first try doing something like this on the podcast, and it was such an experience.
