Rap, The Lesser Art

from The Daily Rant Hosted by Shelton Bradshaw

I think I can help many of you liberate yourself from the mental box your musical taste confines you to. I’ve received several warnings from Facebook, the last looking like it came from Zuckerberg directly, so this may not make it passed the Facebook ghouls. I don’t raise hell for the sake of it. I only speak on issues when I feel uniquely qualified to express a truth that needs to be spoken. In this case, most who feel the way I do won’t express it publicly because they don’t want to look racially insensitive. I, on the other hand, have the deepest knowledge and passion of classic soul music of anyone I know. This lecture was gonna be called, “Why Rap Sucks” but I went with the gentler “Rap, The Lesser Art.” You can enjoy the audio on your commute or the video from home. If you are passionate about the lesser art of rap, proceed with caution. Here I challenge modern rappers as well as its early trail-blazing pioneers who fully embody the spirit of rap, like Kevin Federline.
