Hi, I'm Holly. And I'm Hailey. Welcome to Mountain Mysteries Tales from Appalachia. Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.

Happy Thanksgiving. If you are stuffed or about to be stuffed and you just feel like, hey, I need to listen to this podcast, need a little escapism from the fam. We're here to bring it to you. And this is a hell of fun episode.

Yeah, especially, or if you're not from the States and we're in door, don't celebrate Thanksgiving. Exactly. You still deserve a fun episode. Everyone is welcome at our table.

Yeah. Alright, so we are doing a really cool rapid fire game. I'm so freaking excited. Well, also I'm nervous because when you were trying to answer them over there for me, you were giggling.

I got a little scared. Okay, so here's how it works. I'm going to give Hailey two a- and she's going to do this to me too, but I'm going to give her two options to pick from. Like what would you prefer?

Would you rather? And this kind of goes on the murder theme, kind of along the lines of our podcast. So what you don't know is that, you know, before we started, I wrote down which one I thought that she would choose because I want to see how well we really do know each other. Okay.

Alright, so watch me be totally wrong on everything. And then I have to reevaluate. Do I know Hailey? Yeah.

Dr. Hailey. That's right. Alright, Hailey, there are 17 rapid fire questions.

What you do is I will give you like this or that, right? And this is the first thing that comes to your mind. You have to answer. Do I have to defend it?

After the fact. Okay. Okay. Alright, Hailey.

So we're going to start. Are you ready? I'm so ready. Okay.

Murder or mystery? Mystery. Hontings or disappearances? Hontings.

Old people, stories or kid stories? Kid stories. Okay. Haunted Road or Haunted Hotel?

Stories from the past or stories from the present? Past. F. Scott Fitzgerald or his white Zilla?

F. Scott. Okay. Salt or unsolved?

Unsolved. In the ground or buried at sea? In the ground. Commit a crime and lie or commit a crime and turn yourself in?

Chute. Lie. Hide a body in your freezer. Hide a body in the woods.

Woods. Solve a crime or commit a crime? Solve. Fake your own death for money or fake your own death to escape?

Money. Kill for money or kill for passion? Passion. Hot your haters or sweetly visit your loved one.

Oh, haunt. I love ones though. I love them. Would you rather achieve notoriety by being the victim of a crime or the perpetrator?

P. P. Vexam. Would you rather go back in time to solve a crime or have the ability to go forward in time and prevent it?

Back in time and solve. Would you, excuse me, who should our audience be more terrified of? Holly or Haley? Me.

Okay. That was all my questions. Are you ready to compare a little bit? Really?

All right. So the first one was murder and mystery. I put murder. She said mystery.

Okay. So I'm going to put an ex-disarch. I said hauntings. She also said hauntings.

Got that right. Old people stories are kids stories. She said kid. She hates the old people stories.

I do. Got that right. Haunted road or haunted hotel? I got it wrong.

I said hotel. She said road. I'm going to put an ex beside that too. Stories from the past or stories from the present?

I said past. She said past. So we got that right. F Scott or Zelda.

I said F Scott. So does she. That bastard. Solved or unsolved?

I said unsolved. As did she buried in the ground or buried in sea? I put sea. She said the ground.

That's a ground. He said what's next? How many episodes have we done? She said I don't want traditional burial.

I don't want it to be a fire. You're dead. You're dead. Well, here we go.

She's actually having a submarine. Yeah, but they were searching for the Titanic. Yeah. You're a dead body.

I don't want it to be ainct. The next one is Commina crime and lie. Commina crime and turn herself in. I said turn herself in.

She said lie which I was not expecting. Why would you not expect that for me? I would have thought you would be like no. You need to tell the truth.

I was shocked. I would lie for you. Thank you. Thank you.

That's sweet. I like that. Hi to body in your freezer or hi to body in the woods. I was like, I know Haley, she will say woods.

Woods. And she said woods. Absolutely. Solve a crime or commit a crime.

I said solve. She said solve. Solve. Yep.

Fake your own death for money or fake your own death to escape. I said escape. She said money. So wow.

That was hard. Yeah. Yeah. Most people fake your own death for money though.

Yeah. I mean, I have student loans today. But if I'm dead, you can't get them. So there we are.

Yeah. I said, I said money. I said money. You said money.

I mean, the thing is though, that's too much effort. If you have to kill them for passion, it's too easy to be tied back. I feel like if someone just offers me cash, it's just to take care of a problem. It's not that.

She's got you. Yeah. That's fine. I'm learning new things about you tonight.

I'm troubled. I'm troubled by. Honshire haters or sweet leave visit your loved ones and I put haters. Yep.

Oh, 100%. Yeah. We talk about that so many times. I either achieve notoriety by being the victim of a crime or a perpetrator.

I put perps and you said victim. Yeah. I don't really want to be a victim of a crime, but I would rather that than, you know, be perpetuating. Yeah.

Yeah. It's just so funny because none of your answers are like in a line. I feel like everything is like, well, I don't like if I'm going to do something, I'm not going to get caught for notoriety. Yeah.

You're going to lie like a rug. Yeah. And kill for money. I kill for money.

Kill for money. Honey. I go back in time to solve a crime or have the ability to go forward in time and prevent and I said prevent and you said solve. Yeah.

Yep. Yep. craziness. All right.

And then who should our audience be more terrified of Holly or Hayley? I said Hayley. She also said Hayley. So, in 17 questions, I got, let's see, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

Eight. Eight wrong. Wow. Yeah.

So only 11 out of 17. I don't know. Oh my gosh, no, seven, seven. Nine.

Nine. Nine. It's really hard all the time, just on Thanksgiving. Yeah.

So I am going to give you a minute. And I'm going to erase my answers here. And I'm going to let you figure out. Now, I just kind of cut and pasted these questions here.

So then that way, I didn't pay attention to. I haven't had time to really process. So I was thinking more about Haley. Haley might say.

And I'll go in kind of a different order even. Oh, mix it up a little. So I'm just not expecting it. That would be great, Haley.

I'll do that. Sorry. Let me just tell you guys. No, it's kind of like something fun to tell you guys.

It's been happening recently. Any kind of weird crimes? Any weird crimes? Have you killed any guys?

No, not recently. Oh, recently. No, that's just been a bit too. It's been pretty quiet for now.

For now. I mean, how's your Thanksgiving been? It's been good. It's been good.

Just kind of done the regular thing, family. My mother is actually working. So she works in the medical field. So she would not be able to join Thanksgiving until much later in the evening.

I feel like your mother works all the time. Nonstop. Yeah. Nonstop.

She works five days in a row. When I say five days in a row, she works 12 hour shifts. Right. Not just like normal.

Like, so did you. No, she worked five days. Like eight a. She's not used to that.

No. I haven't seen Haley's mother. I was thinking about this since March. I know.

I'm not sure. I've seen her since March. It's true. She's going to go.

Okay. I'm looking at these. Haley's now holding two computers. Two computers.

Okay. Okay. Okay. Wow.

I know it's very large. Okay. See, I'm old. Do I have to answer what I think you would answer?

Yeah. So maybe take a quick second and write that. I will tell you all. We had Cracker Barrel.

We haven't had our dinner yet, as we're recording. But I had the Thanksgiving from Cracker Barrel. I was not impressed. No.

I was a little sad. So they had this chocolate pecan pie that I was really hoping would be really great because I love pecan pie. It was not good. No.

No. So you know what? Stick to the traditional pumpkin pie. That was really good.

Yeah. So just so you know. So for those out there who were thinking, huh, I got that or I should have gotten that. Yeah.

Okay. Number 11. Okay. And I don't like turkey reheated.

A lot of people do. I don't like turkey sandwich. I don't like turkey in general. I don't either.

I will do ground turkey because it's a nice lean meat because I'm not into ground beef very much. I actually made a turkey meatloafy other day that was killer. But yeah, I'm not a big turkey fan. Nope, nope, nope.

It's just for all of you to know while we are filling in our blanks here. I told Haley we were doing this episode and she was like, yeah, she's very excited about it. So that's my. Okay.

Alright, I'm ready. Okay. Let's do this. Alright.

Haunting's are disappearances. Haunting's. Okay. Murder or mystery?

Mystery. Haunting Road or haunted hotel? Hotel. Old people, stories or kid stories?

Old people. Stories from the past or stories from the present? Past. Fscot or Zelda?

Fscot. Past or... Solved or Unsolved. Okay.

Touch something. Okay. With committed crime and lie or committed crime and turn yourself in? Lie.

Okay. In the ground or buried at sea? Ground. Okay.

Hide a body in your freezer or hide a body in the woods? Hmm. Woods. Okay.

Faker and death for money or figure and death to escape. Escape. Solved crime or committed crime? Solved.

Hot your haters or sweetly visit your loved ones? Haters. Okay. Kill for money or for passion.

Ooh. Money. Would you rather go back in time and solve a crime or have the ability to go forward in time to prevent a crime? Solved.

Okay. Would you rather achieve notoriety by being a victim of a crime or the perpetrator? Perp. Who should the audience be more terrified of?

Holly or Haley? Haley. Okay. Alright.

So, good job. Thank you. So for murder and mystery, I said you would say mystery. Yeah.

Are you said mystery? I said mystery. I said mystery. Sorry.

Yeah. Mystery. Wow. Okay.

So, yeah. I knew that one. Haunted Road or Haunted Hotel? Hotel.

Hotel. That's what I said. Past or present? Past.

Past. Estad or Zelda? Estad. I missed this one.

Solved or unsolved. I said unsolved. I said unsolved. Yeah.

You said solved. Okay. Okay. So, yeah.

I said solved because I kind of like the idea that there was a conclusion to it. I like a bookend. Yeah. Yeah.

I get that. So, yeah. Okay. Oh, you judged me.

Oh, for sure. Oh, my gosh. No. Yeah.

I mean, we're talking like serious crime. Like, I don't know. Oh, God. That still sounds awful.

Yeah. I'm not talking tax evasion. I don't know. We're talking like.

Melda. Melda. Melda. Boms.

Yeah. That's a lot. That's a lot. That's a lot.

That's a lot. I had about your freezer in the woods. I said freezer for you. I was thinking freezer.

And here's why. I know it's rapid fire, but I did have a second where I was thinking, okay. Hypothetically. If I buried a body in the woods, first of all, I don't like the woods.

I drag a dead body that's very heavy into the woods somewhere. You know, hell no. I would put them in my freezer because who would know that? Like, you can't smell it.

They're in the freezer. Right. Who comes to your house? Often that's a perfect hiding space.

So realistically, I probably should have said freezer. But I guess I said woods because that also opens possibilities to it wasn't me. Right. Because in your home.

Kind of a... Kind of a... How did that get there? Exactly.

In my freezer you say. It's next to the squirrel meat. Yeah. It's the trouble.

But yeah. Okay. Solve crime or commit a crime. Solve.

Figure in death for money or for escape. Escape. So I thought you were... Okay.

So we knew each other. Yeah. Kill for money or kill for passion. Money.

I said passion for you. No. No. Listen.

If I'm killing, it's got to be worthwhile. Right. I mean, like... Right.

Listen. I'll find another love. I'm not that torn up about you. Right.

Okay. Why do you think I'm so sweet? Because you're the receptionist. I am, but I'm the receptionist for the haunting.

Look, not the happy haunting. Hello. This is Holly, the happy haunters. Okay.

Hauntress? What? Like that. Yeah.

No. You're just the hauntress. Correct. Okay.

Okay. Okay. And I've said before that I would haunt the shit out of people I didn't like in real life in my... Right.

But see, I thought you were going to send me to do your dirty work. Oh, I still will. Okay. I mean, you don't have to delegate, obviously.

I don't have a lot of time on my hands. So I'm answering the phones. Yeah. People in the field.

Yeah. But I'm at the office. Gotcha. You know.

Yeah. Okay. Notariety by being victim or perp. Perp.

I said victim. Ellie doesn't know we at all. Sorry. So yeah.

I'm like, if I'm going down for notoriety, it ain't because somebody hurt me. Right. You know, if they're going to do an episode about someone that's going to be me and my, you know, whatever I did. Your axe.

Yeah. That's right. Okay. My axe.

Wow. I was going to think like, what if we did a question of like, would you rather be killed by a knife or a gun, but I thought that feels too much. That feels too much. That feels hurtful.

That feels hurtful. That feels inappropriate. Exactly. That feels a little too close to home.

Yeah. Yeah. No. No.

Okay. Back in time or to solve or prevent. Do you say back in time? Yeah.

When you want to go back in time and solve a crime, wouldn't that be cool? I think that would be cool. Okay. We'll work on our time machine.

Audience is terrified of me. A hundred percent. Yeah. Absolutely.

I just think you had a past history of things that you have said that have led us. And then of course. We both go for F Scott because if we were to hypothetically go back in time and solve a crime, I think we would be arresting F Scott. It's Gerald.

I think we would be there. I think we would. I think there are multitude of crimes that he's probably been a part of and probably should have been a resident. I mean, he was, he, I'm not saying he committed them.

So I'll hear saying it was possibly. I'm saying he might be crime adjacent. I mean, all I'm saying, I mean, I think so. Yeah.

I think that's fair to say. Yeah. That he was adjacent. I agree.

I think that's like to me, number one, we need to be a detective because even throughout history, we just want to solve crimes. But we also like mysteries. Yeah. I think the two of us no wonder, you know, I, I question how well you know me.

It's okay. We didn't kind of figure out how many you wrote the X's. Okay. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.

The same. The same. Okay. So actually not bad.

We know each other the same amount, which is not much. No, it's pretty good. We got more right than we got wrong. It's true.

Okay. All right. We don't talk much. We do.

We actually hate each other in real life. We can't stand each other. I know. It's so difficult.

You can't see us right now, but there's a wall between us because there has to be. Hayley's threatening to punch me. We'll fight. No, I'm just kind of like sprawled out on our couch right now.

In a very lady like position, by the way, with a, you know, a gape. Yeah. Yeah. One foot up.

Yeah. Yeah. Classy. Classy.

I like it. I like it. Hayley, that was a rapid fire. We have a fire.

We have a fire. We have a fire. I went to Starbucks earlier today. Yes, they were open.

And I was like, I am going to need a Americano tall black, which, you know, obviously has shots on it. And then I asked for an additional two shots. Oh, two shots? How are you functioning?

Well, I'm not clearly true. I think this is Patreon. I don't know what's going on. I don't know what day the week it is.

It's Thursday. I know. Now I know. You're welcome.

Thank you. I have a Celsius. I haven't yet cracked open. You probably should.

I mean, you've got to have that dinner. So I know I got to get back to my home. To my home. All right, y'all.
